Pioneer has added two new over-the-ear designs to its headphone lineup. The SE-MS7BT (shown here, $129.99) and the SE-MS5T ($69.99) both use a 40mm driver. The SE-MS7BT adds Bluetooth capability with support for aptX, AAC, and Near Field Communication pairing. Pioneer says the wireless model offers 12 hours of battery life, with controls built directly into the earcup. Both headphones are available now.
From Pioneer
Offering a design based around comfort and style, the newest hi-res audio headphones from Pioneer Home Entertainment USA not only sound great, but look great too. The company has launched two new hi-res headphones from its Style Series: the SE-MS7BT (MSRP: $129.99 USD / $179.99 CAD) and the SE-MS5T (MSRP: $69.99 USD / $99.99 CAD). Both units are available now.
Offered in silver, black and tan, the SE-MS7BT is a new hi-res capable headphone that features Bluetooth functionality and Near Field Communication (NFC) for easy pairing of devices. The unit can remember up to eight paired devices, features 12 hours of continuous battery use and has controls conveniently built into the earcup so you can manage your music and your paired smartphone. Best of all, the SE-MS7BT incorporates large 40mm drivers that produce deep, rich lows, while the lightweight CCAW voice coil reproduces higher frequencies. For hi-res music listening, the unit supports Qualcomm aptX audio and Advanced Audio Coding (AAC).
Offering hi-res audio as well, the SE-MS5T is similar in design to the SE-MS7BT as it too comes with a 40mm driver and it's extremely cushioned ear cups and headband fit comfortably over-the-ear. The in-line microphone and control makes answering the phone a breeze, and the fully enclosed ear cups were designed for an even seal around the ear. The SE-MS5T is currently available in black and silver, with red and tan versions coming this spring.
