VidaBox and La Maison Interactive (LMI) recently announced the release of Crestron drivers for the LiivNAS, LiivNAS XL, RackServerV2, RACK24, and other VidaBox Media Systems. Integrators can utilize these VidaBox Media Systems for 1-step archiving of any unencrypted CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc, and enjoy integrated playback and transport control through any Dune HD Media Player from any Crestron control system, complete with high-res cover art and rich metadata on any interface.
Complete solutions using a VidaBox LiivNAS with Dune HD and Crestron compatibility start at around 2000, and are scalable. Projects can start out with the most basic amount of storage with one Dune HD Player to minimize cost. Additional servers can be added at any time to seamlessly expand storage, or new player units can be installed later on to support multi-room streaming.
Not only can VidaBox Media Systems store and stream movies plus their metadata to Control4, Crestron, and RTI control systems, but it can also store and share music as well. CDs can be archived with its Drop-n-Rip disc drive, and digital music files can be transferred to the systems' storage via the network. All VidaBox systems are also iTunes compatible, allowing iTunes installation and synchronization of multiple libraries with services like iCloud and iTunes Match.
The new Crestron drivers for VidaBox Media NAS and Server units are available now. For more details and specifications on the LiivNAS, LiivNAS XL, RackServerV2, RACK24, and other VidaBox digital entertainment and control solutions, visit the company website.
