From Vivitek
It seems like it's been a while since Vivitek brought a new home theater projector to the market - it has been busy with its popular series of Qumi pico projectors.
At 2014 International CES, Vivitek went back to its big screen business with a brighter and higher contrast model, the H1185HD.
The new H1185HD is a single chip 3D DLP projector that puts out 2500 ANSI lumens and features a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. The Vivitek unit can also be a bit of a money saver for clients because the lamp life has been boosted to 5,000 hours.
The projector uses Texas Intrument's DarkChip3 DLP engine with BrilliantColor. The unit includes DLP link to control the 3D glasses.
For clients who just want a projector to pull out for occasional use, the Vivitek includes built-in 10 Watt speakers with SRS Wow technology.
The Vivitek H1185HD is available now for $1,499.
