Vizio and LG have settled a patent dispute that has been ongoing for over two years.
The dispute was regarding a supposed infringement by Vizio on one of LG's patents for LCD HDTVs. The patent had to do with disrupting a television's use, such as what is done by hotels. It was serious, as the International Trade Commission was planning to possibly ban the sale of certain Vizio televisions in the United States.

However, Vizio announced recently that it has signed a settlement agreement together with cross license agreements ending a patent dispute with LG.
The settlement encompasses actions that LG and Vizio filed in the U.S. including in the International Trade Commission resulting in various orders and determinations. The terms of the settlement agreement and the cross license agreements were not released. The parties will file requests for dismissal of all outstanding actions in the appropriate courts.
So good news for Vizio and Vizio fans.
