Waterfall Audio, a prominent French loudspeaker manufacturer, is set to introduce its new Niagara XT range of floorstanding loudspeakers at the CEDIA Expo 2024 in Denver, Colorado. The unveiling will take place at the booth of its U.S. partner distributor, Selective Design, located at booth 2647. This new series represents a significant evolution in both design and audio performance for contemporary loudspeakers.

“We have created a beautiful new series for luxury home cinema, media room and hi-fi projects, using all our expertise in loudspeaker aesthetics, materials and performance,” says Cedric Aubriot, CEO and Founder of Waterfall Audio.

“Niagara XT loudspeakers will provide a striking addition to any interior and deliver audio of magical precision and quality that will delight integrators, interior designers and their clients for many years to come. We warmly welcome all CEDIA Expo visitors to the Selective Design booth to experience for themselves this significant breakthrough in loudspeaker design and technology.”

The Niagara XT series comprises three models: the XT1, XT2, and XT3. Each model features a fully transparent platinum safety glass enclosure, which gives the speakers a distinctive and elegant appearance.

The XT2 and XT3 models have glass enclosures that are 0.39 inches thick, while the XT1 has a slightly thinner enclosure at 0.24 inches. This transparent design not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also allows natural light to interact with the speakers, creating a dynamic visual effect.

The mid/bass drivers, custom-built by Atohm, appear to float within the glass enclosure. These drivers are supported by an 8.3-inch passive radiator positioned in a down-firing configuration within a solid, CNC-cut, brushed aluminum base. This design ensures both visual and acoustic performance, blending style with functionality.

A key feature of the Niagara XT series is the integration of Waterfall Audio's proprietary JETSTREAM damping technology. This technology is designed to maximize performance by mechanically decoupling the mid-bass driver from the glass structure. JETSTREAM enhances bass depth and speed, smooths the mid and high-frequency response, and optimizes heat dissipation, ensuring consistent and high-quality sound reproduction.

The XT1 and XT2 models also incorporate signature wood horn tweeters. These tweeters are available in a classic version with an oiled beech wood finish, or in an exclusive version with alternative wood finishes such as walnut. This customization option allows the speakers to be tailored to match the interior design preferences of different clients, offering a variety of colors, textures, and grains.

Beyond the wood tweeter options, the Niagara XT series offers further customization with its leather-wrapped aluminum bases. The bases are encased in hand-stitched Nappa leather, known for its smooth grain, softness, and durability. Nappa leather is often used in premium automotive interiors, including brands like Mercedes and Porsche, adding a touch of luxury to the speaker's design.

The Niagara XT1, measuring 991mm in height, 250mm in width, and 281mm in depth, delivers a power output of 400 watts. The larger XT2, with dimensions of 1169mm in height, 300mm in width, and 346mm in depth, offers a power output of 500 watts. The XT3 shares the same transparent design and advanced acoustic features as its smaller counterparts.

Waterfall Audio's Niagara XT series will be exclusively available through Selective Design for integrators in the United States and Canada. Attendees at the CEDIA Expo can visit booth 2647 to experience these speakers firsthand and learn more about their unique features and customization options.
