Waterfall Audio has been developing unique audio designs with patented components encased in glass for more than ten years including the release of the first Niagara Diamond in 2009. Different in color, with platinum tint, the idea is that the speaker drivers will appear to float in air.
The speaker comes with custom built, mid/bass Atohm drivers--equipped with the patented ADT (Acoustic- Damping Tube) and the unique Glass Horn tweeter, which are mechanically decoupled from the main enclosure. The Niagara Platinum is supported by a low-frequency passive driver fixed in a down-firing position within the speaker's solid aluminum base. Components in the base and tweeter section are carved of solid aluminum in a French factory dedicated to working from solid billet.
The Waterfall Audio Niagara Platinum loudspeaker retails for $39,500/pair.
