Weinstein Company To Provide Films For PRIMA Cinema

WeinsteinLogoe212ec.jpgThe Weinstein Company has just announced that it will be releasing its films for PRIMA Cinema, the day-and-date alternative to going out to your local mutliplex. With an impressive lineup of films already under their belt the Weinsteins add class to the high-end luxury home theater system that PRIMA offers. All future Weinstein Company releases will be offered at the same time they premiere in theaters, in line with how other studios are utilizing the system.

We are pleased to announce that The Weinstein Company officially has signed on as our newest Hollywood studio partner and we look forward to providing you their theatrically released films on PRIMA Cinema. The Weinstein Company is known for its exceptional quality and Award-winning films that include; The King's Speech, Silver Linings Playbook, Django Unchained, Inglourious Basterds, and many more. The Weinstein Company also owns and distributes Dimension Films.

The Weinstein Company's first film premiering this weekend is Philomena, starring Academy Award®-winning Judi Dench along with star and co-writer Steve Coogan, and is based on the compelling true story of one mother's search for her lost son.

In addition, later in December, you will be able to view The Weinstein Company's highly anticipated film, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, based on the late South African President Nelson Mandela.

The Weinstein Company joins an impressive and growing list of studios which have partnered with PRIMA Cinema including; Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures, Millennium Entertainment, Magnolia Pictures, Focus Features, Samuel Goldwyn Films, Cinedigm, RLJ/Image Entertainment and select Lionsgate titles.
