Yaber, a Chinese company known for its budget-friendly projectors, has expanded its lineup with the introduction of the Yaber T2 and T2 Plus projectors. These new models, emphasizing portability and ease of use, are designed to cater to a broader audience looking for accessible home entertainment options. Here's what you need to know about what these new projectors offer.
Yaber was established in 2018 and quickly made a name for itself by focusing on affordable, high-quality projectors. The company has sold over two million units globally, and its name, derived from a local Chinese dialect meaning "exceptionally excellent," reflects its commitment to quality.
However, Yaber's projectors are not positioned to compete with high-end 4K models from mainstream brands. Instead, they cater to consumers seeking cost-effective and portable solutions.
Both the Yaber T2 and T2 Plus projectors offer a native 1080p resolution with a brightness of 450 ANSI lumens. The projectors can display images ranging from 40 to 120 inches, making them suitable for various viewing environments, though their brightness is best suited for darker settings. The projectors include several user-friendly features such as auto-focus, keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, and screen alignment to enhance the viewing experience.
The Yaber T2 projectors are compact and lightweight, measuring 165 x 140 x 290 mm and weighing 2.5 kg. They feature a handle that doubles as a stand, providing a 15-degree tilt when necessary. This design element highlights the projectors' portability, allowing them to be easily moved around the home or taken on the go. Additionally, the built-in battery supports up to 2.5 hours of video playback or 18 hours of audio playback, further enhancing their versatility for outdoor use.
One of the main features of the Yaber T2 projectors is their audio system. Both models come equipped with JBL dual speakers that support Dolby Audio, which should provide a robust audio experience. This inclusion makes the T2 projectors suitable not just for viewing content but also for use as standalone Bluetooth speakers.
The T2 and T2 Plus projectors offer a range of connectivity options, including HDMI, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. These options ensure compatibility with various devices and ease of content sharing.
The Yaber T2 Plus model includes a Google TV dongle, which provides access to streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ directly from the projector. The standard T2 model can also be paired with the dongle, which is available as an optional accessory. This flexibility allows users to stream content without needing additional devices.
