Wrensilva Presents Updated Record Console Collection

Wrensilva has launched its latest Record Console Collection, featuring the M1 and The Standard models. This new collection showcases a blend of timeless design and high-end audio, aimed at providing an heirloom-quality listening experience. Each console is built to serve multiple generations, combining aesthetic appeal with top-tier technology.

Every Wrensilva console is handcrafted in San Diego's Barrio Logan district. The new collection draws inspiration from the textures of old recording studios and classic consoles. Locally sourced and hand-selected woods, including blonde mahogany, tobacco walnut, and classic natural walnut, are used in the manufacturing process. This attention to material detail ensures each piece is unique and visually appealing.

The Record Console Collection features leather-lined record pockets, brushed metal legs, and duo-weave speaker fabrics. An option is available to order the consoles without fabric covers, showcasing the horizontal wood grain pattern of the speakers. These design choices make Wrensilva consoles a striking centerpiece for any home.

Wrensilva's commitment to quality sound is reinforced by collaborations with industry experts such as Giles Martin from Abbey Road Studios, mix engineer Manny Marroquin of Larrabee Studios, and Blue Note Records producer Joe Harley. Their insights have helped shape the sound profile of the consoles, ensuring an authentic and warm listening experience.

“Our signature is a warm, faithful sound,”  says Wrensilva co-founder Scott Salyer. “It’s not about us, it’s about what the artist made. It is difficult to stay out of the way and that is why collaborating with creators is so important to us.”

“[The console] sounds as warm and wonderful as it looks…with a truth and honesty that brings your favorite albums alive,” said Giles Martin.

The sound system of the new Wrensilva Record Console Collection is a fusion of analog and digital technologies. A custom-built, belt-driven turntable on a floating split-plinth minimizes vibration and enhances sound clarity. The turntable includes a frosted acrylic platter and an aluminum tonearm, equipped with high-end Ortofon cartridges (2M Black for the M1 and 2M Blue for The Standard).

The consoles support modern wireless streaming via Bluetooth and Sonos/AirPlay (Wi-Fi) and include two line-level inputs for additional source components. Each console also features Sonos multi-room functionality, allowing music to be played throughout the home.

The M1 and The Standard are equipped with a two-way bass-reflex speaker system. The M1 boasts a larger 9.5-inch woofer, while The Standard features a 7.5-inch woofer. Both models use custom Egyptian papyrus cone woofers paired with 1-inch textile-dome tweeters, powered by a 300-watt-per-channel Class D IcePower amplifier. The M1 is rated to deliver sound down to 31 Hz, while The Standard reaches 33 Hz, ensuring robust and deep bass reproduction.

Both models provide ample storage for vinyl records. The M1 can hold up to 20 albums next to the turntable and 150 albums in the lower cabinet, while The Standard accommodates 15 albums next to the turntable and 130 albums below. The dimensions of the M1 are 70 inches wide, 31.5 inches tall, and 22 inches deep, whereas The Standard measures 59 inches wide, 29 inches tall, and 19 inches deep.

“At Wrensilva, our key design principle is timelessness with a dash of the unexpected,” said Debra Salyer, co-founder and chief design officer at Wrensilva. “We’re committed to high-quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design decisions that take our products out of the norm, elevating them beyond furniture pieces to something that’s part of your music life for generations.”

To celebrate the launch of the new Record Console Collection, each Wrensilva console comes with a handpicked vinyl collection titled "Wrensilva Presents, Volume One." This collection, curated in collaboration with Blue Note Records President Don Was, commemorates 85 years of Blue Note Records with three select albums. These records are chosen to showcase the audio quality and artistry that define Blue Note.

The new Wrensilva Record Console Collection is available now. The Standard model starts at $14,880, while the M1 is priced at $18,880. For more information, visit wrensilva.com.
